RE: Palestinians, Muslims say they feel ‘invisible,’ ‘unwelcome’ in Brookline amid Israel conflict

I am sorry that Palestinians and Muslims feel scared and invisible. What happened on Oct. 7 was horrific and the perpetrators need to be held accountable. But Hamas does not represent all the Palestinians, many of whom were also horrified by the killings on Oct. 7. We need to distinguish between Hamas and Palestinians. We can have sympathy for the plight of the many innocent Palestinians in Gaza, while still being supportive of the people of Israel, who have also suffered a lot. Hamas does not = all Palestinians.
