I think this increase will cause an undue burden on older adults, particularly in the winter months, when walking to our commercial centers may be hazardous. Our other neighbor, the City of Newton, has a program of free parking in city lots for all senior citizens. This should be considered in Brookline. The increased cost is not negligible if it increases isolation for our older adult population.
