I’ve been baffled about why in Brookline a ceasefire warrant article to oppose the death and destruction that US bombs are causing to tens of thousands of civilians in Palestine is divisive. But Brookline.News explains it. It’s Zionist Israelis and Jews in Brookline whose only concern is the Oct. 7 attack and therefore believe support for a ceasefire to be a “political victory for some segment of Brookline” that they think is not them. But it’s Israel’s ethnic cleansing for the past 76 years, occupation, and now genocide, that is causing global disrespect for our country and divisiveness in our community.
