In your article about progressives losing in the election, you might have looked at the actual spending by each candidate as a cause. For example, for the School Committee, Miriam Aschkenasy raised $5,947 and spent $1,809, while the winner, Carolyn Thall, raised $17,613 and spent $8,896. Aschkenasy did not run much of a campaign.
